problem with xp installation process. setup just restarts after mandatorysetup reboot

i just built a new system and the first thing i do is put the xp cd in the drive so my new comp can boot from it and install windows. when it restarts after copying files the xp setup just starts up again

Are you hitting a key to boot after it reboots? When it reboots dont touch anything and just let it go it will go on to the next step at that time..
 
i used to do that and i was like.. wtf it kept on going in a loop... then i went to the restroom and then came back and it is working ;)
 
i dont touch a key. it just goes to a screen and says press F1 for boot or delete for bios. i cant just not do anything it is stopped and all i can do is press the F1 key and loop or go to bios.
