Problem

Hello ComputerForum.
I just got my brothers old Laptop.
It is a Acer Aspire 5920G and I am having a problem with the Network Adapter.
My brother left in a state, broken vents, webcam and mic didnt work anymore etc etc. I used it for abit, and connected to my home network fine. I decided to send it back to Acer to get it repaired as the warranty was just about to end. So I did, they fixed everything up and after 2 weeks, it came back to me. Everything was fixed and lovely., until I found i couldnt connect to my home network anymore. Windows 7 was loaded on and I preplanned to go back to Vista. thinking nothing of it, I reverted back to Vista.. but when I installed it, I still couldnt connect to the network. Same problem.
I enable the wireless adapter inside, (drivers etc already installed from the Acer website) and it finds a list of networks, including my home one. I click my home one, and type in the network key. It starts to try and connect until it tells me "windows cannot connect to -my network name-"
I have tried eveyrthing from reinstalling drivers, from looking deep into advanced settings, everything I can think of i have tried. I am not sure it is hardware problem, due to a network called BTFON, which is Unsecured, it connects to it easily. (with no internet connection because you need to pay for it). I have tried unsecuring the home network, no luck. Please.. someone help? I am stuck on wired internet for the time being.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

If it has stopped working Acer repaired it, I would send it back to them. They can take another look and atleast you know your covered. I know their UK repair centre is in Plymouth but you may have to call the tech support.

I know i cant send it back now, the warranty ends in september :/ I just didnt know if anyone had either, had this problem, or would know a way to fix it.

I would try updating the wireless driver first or removing security from the router to determine what could be causing the issue.
