Color setting changes automatically?!?!?!?!?!

Okay my girlfriends computer keeps changing the color settings. It goes from like normal color(32 bit) to 24bit color or even lower. I've seen it go as low as 4bit I think. We don't know what causes it to just change like that but any help and suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of video card is ur gf's card? and is it up to date with the latest firmware?

I think its just integrated graphics so I have no clue, and I'm not sure of drivers.

integrated? is it a laptop?

try identifying it.

right click on your gf laptop's desktop>properties>settings>advanced>adapter when u get the chance

It's not a laptop....but it doesnt have like an added in card or watever, it's just what came in the computer.

then you'll probably just have to identify it. its probably not an onboard. once u identify it. go to its manufacture website and see if its driver is up to date.

Ok...I tried looking for one for the monitor when the problem first happened but I guess it wasnt the monitor....Ill have to check around some more.
