Problem!!!
OK so I just replaced my fan on my CPU and now I have a big problem. After I closed it all up an restarted my windows but it took almost 5 minutes to start up. Now here comes the bad part. I went into my My Computer to look at my hard drives and found all my stuff had been erased and my 160 gig had been reduced to 7.3 gigs. I then went into the BIOS and it was showing up as 103 gigs. My other 80 gig is still the same. It's having a problem restarting to. All this happened after I replaced the fan. Also I took out the mobos battery during the fan installation. Another thing that was not happening before is that something about the registry is coming up right after I log in. O and it takes a long time to close windows too.

Specs
Pentium III 800Mhz
Brand New DFI Mobo
80 Gig IDE HDD
160 Gig IDE HDD
384 mb of ram

No that's not the problem I took the CPU out and put it back in again after this happened to make sure I didn't do what you said.

I just re installed windows and now my dvd rom which shows up as a dvd rom during the startup, is shown as a cd rom after logging in.

My DVD rom says it's a CDrom too for some strange reason, it should still play DVDs though, because mine still plays and burns DVDs.

Hmm, well mine doesn't work, could it be a problem with my cable?
Yes I did find it luckily:D
Haha and now my HDD is back to with all my stuff (bigger:D)
And now everything is back to normal all that was wrong was that my cable was bad
