problem

Hi,
I have a problem with my computer and was wondering if anyone here could help me.

When I insert a blank CD into my Re-writer my computer restarts after about 5 - 10 seconds. Once the computer has restarted it says it has recovered from a serious error. Does anyone know whats wrong and what i can do to fix this problem?
