problems and Issues

I have an Acer Aspire 7720 laptop. It says in Bios there is on harddrive and it has 250gb. but when im in vista on the my computer screen it shows 2 harddrives with 110gb each. and I been using them as seperate harddrives. anyways I have vista Ultimate 64bit on there currently. i want to boot Xp on there also. I tried to install Xp and after it loads it says there are no harddrives installed. When there is. I run the vista disc and it shows two harddrives. This is really confusing. Can someone walk me step by step to get xp dual booted with my vista>?

Well the reason you are seeing two HDD is because the 250GB has been partitioned in two.

As for the dual booting issue,- we had a very similar thread the other day and it all stems from trying to install XP after VISTA
