Problems displaying history

Hi Folks,

I am having problems displaying my history when using IE7. The history is actually being written to the temp internet folder, and no of days history in the internet settings is set to 6. When I select the history tab, there are no pages to select.

I have upgraded to IE8, but the problem still exists:confused:

Have you had a look at the settings and made sure that are all good???

The settings i am talking about is on the General Tab (Tools > Internet Settings > Browsing History) and make sure everything is set correctly there, something might not be right.

Out of interest, what operating system are you running?

Under "Favorites"/"History" tab there is immediately a "Drop down menu". Ensure it's set to one of the "View .........." and not "Search history"

I think IE8 may well be corrupt if you only have 1 out of the 4 options to display your history. With Vista IE8 removal is via an update, find that update and uninstall it, you will automatically revert to IE7, then try to update to IE8 again.

Another cause of this judging by Internet posts is Norton AntiVirus and some dodgy Addons in IE8.

I can't help with a definitive answer I'm afraid.

EDIT: I take it that Ctrl+H just opens a blank Favourites tab.
