I am going to try and keep this post short and sweet, forgive me however if I do go overboard. I have no idea where the problem lies.
Quite awhile back, I was having issues with a plethora of programs, applications, etc. So, I decided to (try and) run XP in Safe Mode. It worked, but I then couldn't get out of Safe Mode, until today (tried Command:MSCONFIG, didn't work. Now however, I have recieved a message (blue screen) stating this:
"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified (which nothing had appeared) in the stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates (have done that also, it was up-to-date) Try changing video adaptors. Check with your hardware vendor (CISNET, have also tried, is up-to-date also) for any bios updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing (which I can't seem to access that option). If you need to use Safe Mode to disable or remove components, restart computer (didn't work, or else i wouldn't post this
). press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select 'Safe Mode" (which I can't access now)
***STOP: 0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x80544A9D, 0xF6AC7B90, 0x00000000)"
I do realise that I could re-install Windows, but problem being is that the Manufacturer CISNET, never gave ANY installation CD for the OS.
What other options do I have???
