Hi guys, I am trying to install the monitor mentioned above. Well, the monitor works but unfortunately I cannot change the specific resolution, meaning that if I try to update to XP SP3 the resolution will be at 4 bit and it can't be changed. Also, when I watch my videos in full screen, they will lag. Moreover, I can't play DoTa.
All these problems can be solved by installing the monitor. However, I failed to install it from various methods, whether using the installation disc provided along with the monitor, or using the manual method suggested by the guide. I have even attempted to download the drivers from the website. but it doesn't work too. Does anyone has any methods to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Your problem is not being seen with monitor but video card drivers there. Apparently when seeing SP3 go on you knocked out the main display drivers explaining why you can't change screen resolutions.

Even when performing a repair install on XP video and sound drivers alike may have to be reinstalled while all else remains intact. The 4 bit redundancy is simply the standard generic vga drivers included in Windows by default.

Once you see an update go on for your video card simply go into the device manager to choose the update driver option seen in the right click menu when in the monitors section and browse the disk for the main inf driver file.

Well I tried but the device manager keeps saying that "The specific location does not contain information about your hardware."

The 4bit is actually 16bit vga default drivers there with the 256 color option. If you have a mismatch for drivers that type of error will be seen.

What make and model video card are you running? If you have an ATI model and simply went for the latest CCC update and are running an older model card the update would be too new for the older line. The same is often seen with NVidia models as well where you might have to search around for an older set.
