Problems running FEAR?

I'm not a computer tech at all. I don't know much. Nearly anything. I just want to play FEAR. My dad was so nice and I'm so appreciative of him giving me his computer. It is pretty old and most likely will not be able to handle FEAR. I think he said it has a ATI Rage 2 or something. Like I said I know nothing about anything. FEAR says there is an error when CD is put in. Then it fires the CD out of the disk drive by ejecting. I just was lucky enough to dodge the CD though. My cat was not as fortunate. After I was done burying my cat I checked the back of the FEAR box but reading the requirement is like gibberish to me. Can someone help me out?

Thanks.

Thanks, but like I said, I don't know what all that means. I'm just going to go walmart and get a new computer. They have some cool ones.
