I just bought a new brother mfc 210c all in one printer, copier, fax. My problem is with the software that it comes with. I want to copy and make some photo quality pictures to hang up in a friends house. I can't seem to use the software it comes with to do anything. (properly anyway) I need to enlarge some pictures and print them out 8x10. Any advice would be great!

Please don't double post. You say you posted here to no avail, to be fair you didn't really give much time for a response - 5hrs?

Whilst I don't know much about your particular printer, there are usually settings for what program is used to edit/open the scanned image. I think it's a software issue rather than a hardware one. you're able to print no problem? The PC can sees the printer and scanner and reads it as online and ready to go? Have you tried scanning from both the printer buttons and the software it came with?

I don't believe that most all in ones come with very good photo editing software. I'd recommend getting something like Adobe Photoshop Elements to blow up any pictures that you might need.

I thought I'd retreive the deleted thread, since there's a bit of extra informtaion in it that may help understanding exactly what his problem is.

When I scan the picture it doesn't even come up on the screen, so I've opted to try just sizing it with the printer but that doesn't work either. I've gone through the manual and that helps about as much as having ten thumbs. Any help would be appreciated.

The printer can be seen by the computer, no problem there. it prints, faxes no problem there eihter. I really do think you guys are right that it is indeed a software issue. Is there any free programs i might be able to download to do what i want with my printer? Most of the software in the stores right now is a little to expensive for me @the moment.
