Problems with computer startup(Please Help!)

I got a big problem with my new computer.I had build this computer from components what I had bought on the Ebay.
The config is the following:
MSI P6N SLI V2 motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo 1333FSB 4MB cache
2 GB Corsair XMS2 800Mhz
500 GB Maxtor 7200 rpm
ASUS 8800GTS 320MB DDR3 320-bit
850W power supply
The problem is that the motherboard was used and when I stared my computer first time the monitor power light is just flashing, all the fans are running, the motherboard is under power but I hear an intresting noise like (whistle) from the PC.I have met with this problem when the BIOS setup was faulty so I had to clear the CMOS with the JBAT1 jumper. But on this motherboard in the manual is SW1 swich to clear the BIOS but I can't find it anywhere.I got the same JBAT1 jumper wich is not in the manual.I have tryed this but nothing had changed.Even when you put the jumper on the clear config the computer should not turn on but my PC had turned on.So I dont know what to do now. Please help!!

That "whistling" noise is probably caused by a faulty mechanical component, like a fan, HD or in some cases optical drives. Is there any chance you could pinpoint the source of the sound?

The rest of your story/playing around with jumpers... I don't really get it :(

If you can't find the jumper, removing the battery and leaving it out for a few minutes should clear the CMOS/reset BIOS. If it doesn't, leave the battery out overnight, that should be plenty enough time.

The problem is gone and the PC is running perfectly. But I got another problem.I still have an older Dell VGA monitor with the maximal 85 Hertz.I used the DVI to VGA adapter but my monitor turns off.I have to buy a new LCD screen?

are you running dual screen??? If so, just try with one monitor.

Also can you try and test the computer with another monitor?

No I have tryed only on one monitor.Cause this card got only 2 DVI out,so I have to use the DVI to VGA adapter, but the monitor turns off and the power light is just flashing. When I first turn the computer on and after this the monitor then the monitor is not turning off but the scree:confused:n remains black.

I have tryed with a different monitor as well but the problem is still the same. The graphics cards with DVI out only are not compatible with the VGA monitors?????

^ It could be that. Did the adapters some with the video card? If they didn't, it might be that the card doesn't support VGA output (even w/ an adapter), If the adapters did come with the card, they should definitely work.

If your running a old CRT is could be running out of spec. for the resolution and refresh rate. Try lowering them.

That is the problem that the VGA adapter came with the graphics card, but this is a brand new computer so I want to start it in the first time, but no signal on the screen.

I have took this pc to my friend. We have replaced the CPU the power supply the graphics card as well but the problem is still the same. He`s got an LCD monitor so that can`t be the problem.Maybe the motherboard is faulty?
But all the fans are running,I hear:eek::confused:d that the HDD turns on,all the LED on the mobo are on.So I don`t know what to do now????

You should try swapping out the video card with one that works or test that video card on another computer to make sure it works. Also, make sure the extra power source is plugged into the video card.
