Problems with my games :(

I have recently downloaded F.E.A.R and Call Of Duty 4 to my computer but when i click to open Call Of duty it says....

iw3mp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Does anyone have any ideas of what this may be?

I'm trying to play games and it happens to nearly all of them.

If you could please leave some help that would be appreciated

i dont nkow but try doing a virus/spyware scan, if nothing is fixed my this, re-install windows and make sure to wipe the drive. sorry if this doenst help any!
