Further things to check there though. First, get a close up of the model number. I am not saying yuo have sata on that board, but there are not going to be more than one version of the same model number. That is like saying that you have a Z77E4 with only 2 SATA III ports. It does not happen. HOwever it is entirely possible that you may have a similar model with no sata, in the example above the Z77E3, which is the same exact board, minus the SATA 3 chip.
Next, from top to bottom, list what your expansion cards are there. It is possible that one or more of them don't play nice with each other.
Just to be sure, remove all the front panel headers except the power button to be sure there is no issue there. Could be that one is shorting, or possibly not wired right.
What is the black block looking thing over at the right hand side? Could be an issue there, but hard to tell without knowing what it does, just like the expansion cards.
