Problems with my Mobo.

Further things to check there though. First, get a close up of the model number. I am not saying yuo have sata on that board, but there are not going to be more than one version of the same model number. That is like saying that you have a Z77E4 with only 2 SATA III ports. It does not happen. HOwever it is entirely possible that you may have a similar model with no sata, in the example above the Z77E3, which is the same exact board, minus the SATA 3 chip.

Next, from top to bottom, list what your expansion cards are there. It is possible that one or more of them don't play nice with each other.

Just to be sure, remove all the front panel headers except the power button to be sure there is no issue there. Could be that one is shorting, or possibly not wired right.

What is the black block looking thing over at the right hand side? Could be an issue there, but hard to tell without knowing what it does, just like the expansion cards.
 
the floating black box is a light that makes the computer glow green :) and also i called one of my friends who has had made computers, and he helped me to check if the power button was shorting and determine if it was shorting and it doesn't short out but does shock me also he helped me to check if the ram was working, but here is the list:
1 top: ATI Rage 128 Pro 32MB AGP VGA R128P SD32M
2 next one: ATI Rage XL 8MB PCI
3: Sata PCI controller Card
4: encore 5.1 channel surround sound card
5: Netgear 32 bit wireless pci adapter rev-a3
6: Ethernet card has no info on it but has tested it and works.
 
okay, I think I know what could be wrong. Try only one of the GPUs. Either the AGP or PCI, not both. If you need both, then test both separate. Could be as simple as they won't pass POST with the other in there.

Do you need the sound card to boot? Likely not. Remove it too.

Same with the SATA and wireless cards. Remove them and try to boot.

Actually, really remove everything but 1 GPU, the CPU, PSU, a IDE HDD, and 1 stock of RAM and test it to see if it boots. This makes it easier to narrow what is causing it to not boot.

tried that and still boots off in 5 seconds
 
If you have removed all nonessential components and it still does not work, then logic dictates that the issue is in the essential components. CPU likely is not bad. Rule that out. RAM, you said it was tested already. Was it with this board, or another?

PSU, just get a cheap tester and use it to test it. That will not completely rule it out, but will give a yes or no on the voltages at least.

If all of the above check out, then the board is the issue.
 
well i am going to see the guy who gave the computer to me and he will help me to see whats wrong with it.
