Problems with my MSI FX 5200

Hello

I would like to ask if this is a really bad video card. I am currently playing this game call Rush On Seven Episode (ROSE) and the game keep freezing on me. I never had any problems before with my old video card. I would like to ask if it because of my video card or the drivers? I updated the drivers and everything but I still get this problem. If you think this is a bad video card please let me know what you recommend in a decent price. Thanks
 
what size is it, 64mb, 128mb, 256mb? I had an fx5500 and playes hl2 and farcry, i dont know how demanding that game is, are the drivers up to date? i have had some problems with my ati 9200 not loading games, updating the drivers fixed this.

Well don't expect anything great when it comes to playing games with a fx5200. Yes it can play some games but nothing at a good quality, especially the new games. I've never heard of ROSE...is it a relatively new game or what? The game may be crashing due to other reasons. Also, what was your old video card?
 
The current video card is a 128mb MSI FX 5200. My old video card was ATI 9000 64mb. I bought the ATI and it came in this small a$$ box and i bought it for REALLY cheap. The game rose u can find at www.roseon.com. I doubt its the game requirements because I never had the problem before.

If you think this is that bad what video card do you guys recommend for a price less then $100.00?

At what resolution and fps? I'm guessing the resolution is 800x600 or below?

Go the 6600 way ;). That would be better in my opinion. If you have the dosh, go for the 6600GT which should allow you to play games very well.

The amount of memory isnt gonna make a world of difference since the memory bandiwidth will be low

A 5500 is just an upclocked 5200. And as for HL2 and FarCry: while it will play (i.e., you can play Doom3 on a GF2 if you want to but its not reccomended) ... wont be that great

1. You wont be able to run FarCry at the highest settings as the highest settings use PS3.0
2. At what resolution
