Problems with wifi

My Uncle has a Netgear WGR614 v6 wireless router. When I connect to it, it works fine, but eventually, the wireless router stops broadcasting. It disconnects both my iPod Touch and my laptop. I have to go and unplug it and plug it back in. I have connected my laptop, a blackberry curve 2, and my iPod touch. Could any of these devices be causing the problem? Or what could it be?

Yes, the router needs to be the dhcp server as long as the modem isn't a modem/router combo unit. If it is then the router needs to have the dhcp turned off and then just use the router as standard switch instead.

The modem actually is also a router apparently. So that isn't the problem. I have figured out that the router will stop broadcasting, but the Ethernet ports sill work, so it is something about the router. The router has the light that should be lit when broadcasting a signal, and it doesn't stay lit. It randomly turns off, and won't turn back on until I unplug/replug it.

Ideas?

So then why do I keep getting cut off? Do you think the router is on its way out like JlCollins005? He is probably right.
He's saying it could be that both are acting as a router giving out IP address information. You have two choices, you can try disabling the DHCP/router functions of your modem, or keep those and change your wireless router to act as an access point only.
