Problems with Youtube on firefox

With Youtube, every now and then, recently, a video won't load. I see a big triangle in the middle of the screen, which I assume means "Play." At first, I'm thinking "yay! I've always been annoyed how Youtube videos will start immediately, even if I'm not yet ready to watch it."

Well, the problem is, when I try to play the vid, it always says "An error occurred. Please try again later."

Now, this happens a lot on Youtube, but here's what's weird about it:

-There doesn't seem to be a distinguishable pattern of what videos have this problem, but whenever a video is chosen to have this problem, it will happen EVERY TIME I try to watch it.

-It seems to happen with about 50% of videos nowadays. It used to only be one video in a blue moon.

-It used to go away after about a day. This problem has persisted for a week now.

-Perhaps the weirdest part... the problem goes away when I switch to Google Chrome (I can't use IE at all, because for some reason, it keeps saying it's offline). Unfortunately, I don't wanna use Google Chrome because I like having Adblock.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? How do I fix it?

YouTube runs on Flash. The problem with the latest version of Flash is it has issues with Firefox and Firefox spinoff browsers (Pale Moon, etc.). Adobe claimed to have fixed it the other day with another update, but that is untrue. To fix your problem, you need to uninstall Flash and revert to an older version ( I recommend 11.2) which you can download from the Adobe archive HERE

Before installing that version of Flash, run the Flash uninstaller first, which can be downloaded HERE

One hundred fifty nine megabytes? What the hell?

This better not be a virus.

Make sure you scan it first. Also try re-installing your browsers and/or your adobe flash software. I haven't been using firefox on the new windows platform, and for good reason. Try Google Chrome! :D

Good luck!

No, it's not a virus. It's the full release archive of that release of Adobe Flash. And if you actually look at where it's downloading from, it's directly from an Adobe FTP server.
