Processor Problem. Need Help! Intel E6750

Hi, I was using a program call CPU-Z which detect your computer specs and when I check my CPU it show only 2.000.1GHz instead of my normal stock speed of 2.66Ghz. At times it would move from 2.66Ghz to 2.00Ghz, and sometime 1.99Ghz. Why is that? does anyone what it can be the problem with the CPU? here I have a Pic to show what I mean

The bus speed is 333.3Mhz x 6.0 but when the computer is at start up screen it shows 333.3Mhz x 8.0 I dont know mayb is it because of the program and its not accurate?

sounds like intel speedstep is on.
it throttles down your cpu if you are not using the speed to save power
turn it of in your bios

Wow mine does the same, does Speedstep do a good job or it's better disabled ?

Leave speedstep enabled, it will crank up when needed and is better for your temperatures. I asked the same question here http://www.computerforum.com/109087-intel-speedstep.html
