Processor Question!!

Hi there,

I have an Acer Aspire 1410 netbook that has a 1.2 GHz intel celeron SU2300 processor, with socket number 478. I am looking to improve my processing power for gaming, and if I was to purchase say an Intel Pentium 4 2.8 GHz processor with the same socket number (478), would I be able to swap my current processor?! And moreover, would my Acer still function?!

If the answer is yes and yes, and anyone knows what kind of steps I would have to take after installing the new processor (ie. in the BIOS screen to setup the new hardware), I would be immensely indebted to you and your help!!

you will need laptop cpu, not desktop.

I think you may able to upgrade with following cpu
Pentium SU4100
Core 2 Duo SU7300
Core 2 Duo SU9300
Core 2 Duo SU9400
Core 2 Duo SU9600
