is it possible to replace a processor on a motherboard say if you had a celeron and wanted a amd

you would have to get a new motherboard and a new CPU to do that, motherboard have certain socket numbers, and INTEL's and AMD's are different.

moving between manufacturer's of processor means a change of motherboard sadly.

i suppose thats in a similar vein to a motherboard i saw a while ago that has dual sockets; one 754 and one 939
