Processor Upgrade

disclaimer: I searched and also read that super long cpu 101 post.

Hey guys,

I need to upgrade my processor but do not know where to start. I have an AMD Athlon AX20000DMT3C. Could you guys point me in the direction of what I should be looking at? What do I need to keep similar in order for the new processor to fit? I would also need a fan and heatsink (on the cheap preferably, but still able to do the job).

edit- also, where is the best place online to buy computer parts? newegg.com?
 
From what I can tell, thats a old Athlon XP 2000, socket A/462. No longer made. Dead socket. If you really want to look, maybe Ebay or local computer shops might have used ones. Not really worth upgrading.

Well, the fan I have on there now doesn't work. How would I go about replacing that?
