processor upgrade

hello, i have an emachines E430 laptop, specs:

Screen size - 15.6 in
Processor - AMD M100
RAM - 2 GB (upgraded to 4gb)
Hard Drive - 250 GB
Operating System - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
Optical Drive - DVD Rewriter
Graphics - Intel GMA 4500MHD

i was just wondering if i was able to upgrade the processor as it is only a 2ghz, i wanted something a little more. which processors could i upgrade to maybe without getting a new motherboard.

Laptops aren't like desktops where you can easily switch out processors. With laptops you are basically stuck with what you got anymore. You have a single core sempron cpu, which is very low end. You will need to get a different laptop if you want faster speed and to multitask.
