I've already sold i5 cpu's and motherboards in the shop I work at. They've been out for a few days, just not allowed for advertisement until the release date. We already know the price points.
We sell the i7 860 for almost $100 NZ more than the i7 920. Which is fair because it performs better. The i5 750 is a little cheaper than the i7 920 and performs almost as well. The limitations with the platform at its current price point is what bothers me.
The motherboards for the LGA 1156 are pretty well priced. We sell a GIGABYTE P55-UD3P Intel P55 for $250 NZ. Not bad.
Wasn't it you who said that the i5 pretty much destroys the Core 2 Quads in another thread? I'm quite interested in intels new line of CPU's
Anyone got an i9 yet?
