Product Key Sticker - Reinstall

My workplace has re-purposed an old workstation for use by guests. I don't have any original recovery discs, as the computer is pretty old.

I have the sticker on the pc case with the XP product code, and I am curious if I get an XP install disc if there would be any reason that I wouldn't be able to do a clean install with the product key off the box.

If it's an OEM key you'll need to ring up Microsoft to activate it, explaining to them why (motherboard/hdd died, virus or w/e)

Any disc will work so long as it's for the version printed on the sticker.

Ok so I'll have to activate it through M$. Do you know if there is a charge for this?

Just install it, it will be fine. Then use the 1800 number (automated) and press 1, 1, 1 get the code and done.
