I just got a brand new asus laptop and would like to know where the product key is located. I opened word and it said if i dont enter it within 25 times of using word i will be limited features. Can anyone please help?

When you purchase computers...they have a lot of trial software installed. The laptop you have more than likely has a trial of Microsoft Office and not the full registered product.

I would be willing to bet...if you look at the documentation for your laptop that is the exact cause...trial software.

If you DID pay for and the documentation states that the computer has the full version of Microsoft Office...then you need to contact the place you bought it.

u gotta buy it, its kind of a scam how micro$oft charges $150 for an os, and doesnt even include word processing software.

Yeah when I was a noob I had the same problem but I don't even use MS word and all that junk :) notepad is just fine lol

Get OpenOffice.org

Don't buy Microsoft Office. Microsoft is a pricing bully. Back in the day,
we had to buy Microsoft Office because no competition was available. But
now, most programs have an open source version that is free, and just as
good.

Go to OpenOffice.org and download. Open Office is absolutely free.
OpenOffice includes full suite of software - for Documents, Spreadsheets,
Presentations.

Once you start using OpenOffice, you will never purchase Microsoft Word
again.
