Program Server

Hi,
I was wondering if I could have a server hold all of my progrmas and then use my desktop to access them. The reason being is that I reformat my desktop a lot and I'm tired of relaoding all of my major programs like autoCad, Solidworks, Photoshop, MS Office, ect. Mainly jsut the large programs. Is this something I could do, if so how?

One other quesiton I would like to ask. Lets say I'm running Solidworks off of the server. Will the server be doing all of the computations or will my desktop be doing them. I'm asking this because my desktop is very powerful and set up for 3D modeling where my server PC is not. I would want my desktop computer doing all of the processing and the server just storing the program. Is this how it would work?

Thanks!

Your looking at setting up a terminal server. That will allow any user to assess any allowed programs from any computer on the network.

You might be better served hosting the installation discs on the server and then using a script to install the suite of programs over the network...
