program that detects updates drivers etc..

heyy, i had to do an emergency reboot cuz my old hdd failed me. so i was wondering if there was a program out there preferably free, that will detect any updates drivers anything like that to get my pc back up to date? thanks!

Those programs are a bunch of junk. Learn your hardware and update your drivers from there vendors/chipsets and video from AMD or Nvidia. Unless you have a SIS or VIA chipset, then go to them

I would not use drivers from Microshaft.

I agree I would use the Motherboard or computer, manufacture support page to update the drivers
The only reason I quoted the custom updates at MS for drivers is because he specifically asked for a program to view any driver updates. Whereas the manufacture would show all drivers to update

HERE is a good resource of Manufacture driver updates
 
There are programs but you are better off just updating when you have a problem. Why create a potential problem where there is not one.
