program to burn and edit home movies

I have an hd camcorder and need a program that will edit and burn then to dvd and or blue ray. Also I would like a program to copy the dvds that I buy for the kids so I dont have to go out and rebuy them. That can add up to a small fortune. Any advice would be great. Thanks
