Ok, so I'm looking to get into computers and specifically computer programming. Can anyone send me into any direction about what one to use and what to start doing to practice? :D

PS: I run Windows XP, i think that sort of matters for the software...

It will give you an area to write source code aka applications (executable files etc.). Check out Cprogramming they have some tutorials. I'm learning it right now in school and it can be a little overwhelming.

Yeah, I'm reallllly hoping to take Programming next year, trying to get a head start... Haha
