I Like First's idea of undervolting the fan.

I like the bio-hazard cut idea more than mine. Still, cut it and get some green cathodes and a green 80MM fan for the side.

Hmmm, maybe Ben? I dont know how much shipping would be?

Taylor, just the posotive?
you got a link to that dremel? :p

Noob, I dont really get what you meant with the ducts?

Marine, Haha! Get your wooden one done! ;)

Why would it be good to undervolt the fan?

Undervolting the fan would make it look really cool. I dont think it would change the temps of your case drastically, but it would just be a 'cool' 'effect'.

How would I undervolt it then?

I really like the look of that fan with the writing in, I think that'd look awesome!

Thanks guys :)

To undervolt the fan, you can have 5, 7 or 12 V just by swapping out pins on a molex connector, or you can add resistors, but i dont think you could undervolt a fan enough to make it spin realy slow for that type of effect. It would either not start up with that voltage, or it will burn out and overheat (the motor in the fan)

or, you could somehow gear down a fan, just for that job

I think he's saying sand down one or two teeth every few spots so it misses and just spins slightly. Nice idea! Should work better than under volting the fan.
