Like others have said, temp-wise 9800GX2 is like an oven and consumes about as much power as one, and the fact that it's being discontinued ain't good business for you. Also, there's not much point in Quad-SLI'ing them as they scale rather poorly, adding to the problem that poorly coded games don't perform well on SLI'd cards.

I assume you're going with the GTX280 then? Not bad at all...
 
Yeah, I've decided on the GTX 280 for now. List is still wide open for suggestions on anything, whether it be positive/negative comments or suggested replacements. I'm looking into that Thermalright heatsink today.
