I'm just making sure you know that every year you have to change the projector bulb and they cost $500+

Only if you use them 24/7. And for large rooms, they are still better than a screen.

You have to go into your driver settings and either just switch it out for your monitor or make a dual setup, as said earlier.

re

You need to set it up as a dual screen. :)

i'm not really understanding you. I ask to project whats on my pc to the projector. What are they keys to press? On a laptop its either FN+F8 or ctrl+FN+F8...but its something like that..not really sure.

what keys do i need to press for a desktop ?

I asked for help ,not the price of bulbs

Ah, I didn't understand your question, It seemed to me that you hadn't bought the projector yet. I was just warning you that you had to buy a bulb almost every year or so. Sorry for my stupidity.

ok i understand, i know what you're saying ,i know projectors are very fragile especially their bulbs but it wasn't about me buying one.its in the office so i really need to know how to make it work with desktop

It doesn't work the same way. A PC doesn't have a second out jack just for an alternative screen... it either just has one or has a second for a dual or spanned view. If you only have one VGA out, then you'll need to either buy a splitter, or some projectors allow you to go from the PC to the projector, and then from the projector to a second monitor.

If you only want to use the projector, and don't need a second screen, then just hook the cord straight from the PC to the projector.

For a desktop there aren't any keys to press, you will need to set a dual screen. Go Right click on the desktop properties>settings and then setup a dual screen there

hey its ok. no need for dual display on pc i just plugged it with my pc and it automatically detected video. thanks all
