Hello all, Ive come to pick your brains again...
To cut a long story short I have a spare DL360 Proliant G3 server, Its currently in a RAID1 configuration with 2x 36.4gb SCSI ultra320 15k hot swap drives running Windows server 2003.
But my question is, Is there a simple way of buying two brand new 74gb+ SCSI HDDs and using them in the server with out having to reinstall the NOS.
I was thinking of this but I'm sure it may not work out as planned...
Turning the server on, replacing one of the 36gb drives for a 74gb drive> let the server rebuild the array> then swapping the 2nd 36gb drive for the other 74gb drive... then this is where it may get a bit tricky... Resize the RAID array to use the 74gb rather than the 36gb it had before
Anyone got any ideas? or should I just put the new drives in and start from scratch??
