Prolimatech Megahalems

A more worthy upgrade would be throwing some higher static pressure fans onto your noctua;)

Gahh...how can that be? My Noctua only has 4 heatpipes compared to 6 on the Prolimatech...

Which fans would you suggest for me to see an improvement?

Also, which case would be better for producing positive/negative pressure?

Its not only about Heatpipes, but the design of the face (to reduce static pressure from the fan) and the way its designed...

right now, my Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus is hitting 46 degrees max on prime 95 (with a virus scan running)

when i get my i5, i will see how my HSF will handle the load, and if it cant handle it that well, then i will go for a TRUE 120 Black, Venomous X, or this...

Although i really like the HDT (the heatpipes touch the CPU directly), i have read that they are not very good for high heat applications ie i7...

If you want fans that move ALOT of air, try the Coolermaster Sickleflow fans. Wow, those things motor...

My computer Has 4 exhast fans, 2 intake. My 2 intake fans (sickleflow) are the strongest (although my rear exhast fan is the same thing, and its blowing onto HDD's, so i basically have 1 strong intake fan) The rest of my fans are quiet, but move air well

I found this was the best result on my case...

Depending upon noise, one of the good fans would be scythe slipstream high speed for 120x25, or if you can take a little bit of noise a 120x38mm san ace or ultra kaze medium speed.

TRUE 120 Black, Venomous X, or this..

Go with the prolimatech or the venomous, TRUE 120 falls behind both of them. I would know since I upgraded from a TRUE 120 black to a prolimatech, dropped a couple degrees even though the TRUE was lapped and dropped even farther after I lapped the prolimatech. Quite happy with my choice :)

Hehe. Wimpy Prime95 :P

My temps never break 60c running Prime95 and Linpack...

Folding@Home with the Linux VM client, is a different story. :)

I like my quiet computer so adding loud fans is out. :(

My advice would be to take a look around for some san aces or ultra kaze high speeds, then put them on a fan controller, will have much better static pressure than you get from those 120x25's that noctua provides.
