My friend hosts LAN parties. His server has a few rack mounted ethernet ports. Like 100 ports each. And a connected computer. With Windows Server I think.


I want to take that same approach.
I want to use this for PC LAN parties, and Xbox LANs.


What should it have?

Are you really going to have 100+ people at your house to LAN?

I would just go with a few routers if you are going to have only a few people over, but a switch is something you can go with. It's pretty easy to setup, but you should know how to configure it with Windows Terminal.

Well.
I might team up with another LAN and we might host a big LAN.


But what should the computer be spec wise....
