ps/2 port fried! help!

Hey all. Im new here. My keyboard stopped working!I am posting this byClicking characters inCharacter Map And pasting into this post! I recently unplugged my tower and hearda pop. now nothing I plug into my ps/2 ports works!Thank God my one mouse uses usb! Has anybody here heard of this happening¿Is my motherboard itself shot or what¿Ah too much clicking now

hi, yes this has happened on one of my pc,s but the other way,my usb,s say the
voltage is excessive,im afraid its new mobo.you could get a usb keyboard if you dont have enough usb you could get a pci usb card on ebay for about £8.00.

Fido's right. If you've tried other keyboards in your PS/2 port and they don't work, then you need to follow his advice.
