ps1 emulator

hello i was wondering if ne 1 knew of a ps1 emulator that will play multi disck games suck as final fantasy.

that's not necessarily true. emulators are legal so long as you own the original hardware, just like roms are legal if you own a physical copy of the original title.
 
oh, well i would take it he would not need it if he had eather one... however i could be wrong

The emulator itself likely is legal but the psx BIOS is protected under copyright and ROM images are not legal either even if you own the title. It doesn't matter what the ROM sites say, read the original games license. According to most licenses you are not even allowed to make backup copies.
 
Yup, if you read your games manual and see where it says that backup copies are not permitted you would understand, and ROM's are even more illegal, not only are they a "backup", you are breaking the encryption on them.

i've read through the fine print before and there is a clear exception to the rules above. i even posted the fine print in one of my posts on CF before, with the exception in bold. i'm too lazy to go digging for it right now but if you want to look for yourself, it was probably from sometime around january
