PS2 Online

Wel,l I recently just got a game, today, for my bithday that's online playable... but my problem is, I don't have a TV nearly ANYWHERE close enough to my comuter to hook it up.

Any solutions, other then, "Move the TV/Computer closer."?

Hmm, I was also wondering... anyway I could just project the game onto the PC moniter so I wouldn't have to use a TV?

EDIT::
Any cheap but good routers I could buy so I can access the internet and play PS2 games online at the same time?

I was thinking this one? (Funds are in Canadian money, which is what I USE.)

My dad also has extra HUBs... without the firewalls, would that be recommended?

I told my brother of my problem over the phone when he called, and on Thursday, his late B-day gift to me will be a 100 foot cord to reach our TV two rooms away.

Problem solved.

:)

Well, I'm back.
The reason? It's simple. I'm think0headed and can't seem to wait untill Thursday to get my 100 foot cable to play my game online.
Any simple solutions so I could possibly play my game online, with my PS2 tonight without moving the TV or computer closer to one another?
Basically...is there a way I can hook my PS2 to my computer and have my PS2 hooked to the internet as well to play the game?

--I'm just anxious to play the game online.

move the modem where it is plugged in, to the same room where the tv is.. all you need is a phone port.

ok let draw a pic..

you have point A, and Point B... 100ft apart.

Question: How can you get a wireless signal between these two points...

A1:Buy a cable(which you will probably do)
A2:BUY a wireless range extendor and plug in by your tv...(30-40$)

A1 is the best option, because of loss of connection headache and price. Just wait 3 days. Or splice the cable your self from a home depot...

Hmm.. now, can you answer me this?.. will a HUB suffice well enough so I won't have to go out and buy a router so the internet can still be used while I'm playing my PS2 online?

not if you go modem to computer. You would need a second ethernet card. and run a line from the 2 NIC to the PS2.

Think of it like this. Your computers has all the information to make a connection with your ISP. Therefore an connection prior to your computer wont work (unless your modem does this connection, like a router)...

Usually a router does the connection, and therefore anything after the router you can split to multiple connections.

I bought the linksys gaming adaptor thing, but it was like $70 and I'm not even using it anymore cause I haven't figured out how to have it encrypted
