PS2 Port Broken!

i am typing this from a virtual keyboard. my keyboard died early this morning. so i plugged a new one. but it still doesn't work (ps2). does this mean my ps2 port is broken?

Have you tried typing outside of windows? Accessing the bios or anything like that?

Does any keyboard show up in Device Manager? If not, then the port just may be dead. If it does show up, I would uninstall the driver and reboot to reload one automatically and go from there.

If that fails, you could pick up a USB keyboard for $10. Kind of a poor fix, but it should work.

using an old mac pro keyboard at the minute. i took a look in the HID and nothing about a keyboard or ps2 port showed.. i may just have to get a logitech g15
