ps3 freezed a few times, normal?

Hi everyone, bought one of those ps3 slims a month or two ago, I noticed in the last two days it has froze at the loading screen, twice in fifa 10 and once in assasins creed after I updated assasins creed. I searched for a system update and I installed it, it seems to have stopped freezing. Since I am under warrenty should I ship my Ps3 to sony over the holidays? Or is this perfectly normal?

It worries me because my 360 used to freeze before it crapped out

No, it should be fine now, that update fixed the console freezing in a lot of games (it did it to me during Uncharted at first as well...).
 
mine freezes every now and then in some games like fallout 3 some games are just a little more buggy than others i think fifa 08 has frozen for me to
 
got question guys

i noticed when i play demon's souls sometimes and go to quit game sometimes it shuts my ps3 off and back on anybody experience that b4? it only happens on that game tho but it dont always happen like that everynow and then
 
Some games do freeze from time to time. Uncharted did it to me, but it was a common thing then.

I would just make sure that your system is getting plenty of air and isn't overheating.

Make sure that you are going online and getting the latest patches for your games as well as most of what is being released for those games is patches to prevent freezing. At least from what I've seen...
 
thx for all the responses, I just dont understand why they are constantly updating their firmware, if it works then leave it alone.. Mine have stopped freezing, although my ps3 likes to lose picture for 3-4 everytime I use it, my tv will say no signal and then it will flash back to hdmi and everything reappears, thats pretty strange, I think it might be my hdmi cable
