PS3 or upgrade PC??

Basically, I want a playstation 3, but at the same time I wouldn't mind putting 4-500 dollars into my computer. The dilhema is that I already have a pretty desent computer, but I don't think its ready for many next gen games coming out. So should I buy a PS3, or should I upgrade my comp, keep in mind christmas is right around the corner, and lets face it, a PS3 would be a damn fine christmas gift. So what do u guys reccomend?
 
Honestly? i'd go for the computer, but thats me ofcourse :)

if you play a lot with your friends at home, a ps3 is ofcourse awesome because you can play together. still,.the ps3 is very expensive if when you buy it asap, because its jst been released.

but like i said, it completely dependson what you do at home,. if you prefer playing alone, the pc is much better than a console, because it has way more options
 
You already have a nice PC, I would wait until some of the DX10 hardware comes out and some new-gen games before making any major upgrades.

I wouldn't get a PS3, simply because I think there overpriced (the majority of the cost is the blu-ray drive itself).
 
I'd go for PC coz once you buy consoles you cannot upgrade it but PC is very much upgradeable for next gen of course.
 
I'd wait to upgrade my PC after the next-gen games with DX10 are available since many thing.s can change until they are released and circulating for a while.
If you have a HDTV, I would buy a PS3 for Christmas. Not only for the amazing gaming platform, but also for the BluRay functionality, since it'll be way cheaper than any other HD Player, BD-DVD or HD-DVD, out there.
 
Yeah, I'd wait a year after the release to get a PS3, plus, it doesn't look like it will really be ready to ship by Christmas anyway...
 
Computer,i mean,more people play online games on the computer!!!But then again,im not a huge console fan,i hardly ever play my Ps2
 
If you only have $500 and you arent planning on getting anymore, go with the PC upgrade. With the PS3 you need to buy games and additional cables.
 
I would go for the PC upgrade.

The PS3 and XBox 360 prices are far to high at the moment. You would be better of waiting for the inevitable price drop. Thats what I did with the PS2 and i'll prob do it with the PS3 too.
 
I would go for PC if they can't make pirated ps3 games. PC games can be downloaded using p2p, torrent, etc and it's easy to find pirated pc games.

I would go for ps3 if they release pirated ps3 games. ps3 is built for gaming so you'll never encounter problems like long loading, lag, etc.

For ur information, pirated games are legal in my place. seriously. ;)

really? where?

i would go for the pc just becouse you can upgrade it unlike consoles

and plus if you wait long enough you can probably get an emulator for PS3 ^_^
