PS3 Other OS Removed

Not sure if you guys heard or not, but Other OS Install has been removed from the original PS3's now as well:

yeah I ran the update last night. Oh well, I never got yellowdog working in the first place. It was nice having that option though.

I still dont see the need for OS on ps3 but i guess it's just me.

If you want to play online or use the playstation store, no they arent optional.
