i got firmware 3.40 on my ps3 i was wondering if anybody had any problems with it cuz i updated it a few days ago and i just turned my ps3 on lil while ago and next thing ya know it cut off and went back to the red light i have the fat 80 gig ps3 model was wondering if it was the firmware that caused this problem or if it is just the fact that the console just died on me 
cuz i was not playing it non stop that much but i guess its dead i noticed when i try to cut it on it beeps gots to green light sometimes then goes yellow and back to red is that the sign of death if so what should i do get it fixed or get a slim model i hear the slim models run cooler and have less power consumption
