PSP Mod?

Hey guys, the other day I came across my psp, I thought it might be a good idea to consider modding it to keep it interesting and fun to play. I have a PSP slim without any mods currently, where would I get started? How much could this cost me? Could I possible do this free of charge like the wii homebrew mod? Thanks for the input guys :P

Not sure if this would count as illegal or not since a bunch of people do this...... i can tell you but let's see what a mod says i don't want to get into trouble...
 
Im not 100% sure on this subject, but this is what i know.
1. Upgrading to a later version of the psp OS invalidates your license to use an older, "hackable" copy.
2. Most people who do this, want to use it to play roms of games, even if you own the game, it is still illegal to use "roms" of them
3. Technically speaking, unless you download firmware from sony, it cannot legally be installed to the psp.

Like i said, im not 100% sure on this, but that is what i think is correct, and in that case it couldnt be discussed here.
 
oh ok... sucks for luke.. if i were to email him would that have anything to do with this forum? like would I get into trouble because i brought it up or?
