hook up your psp to your computer with a usb cable and put your cd in or ifyou already have your music on your computer thats fine. then go to windows media player and go to sync and find your music and it should go onto your psp.
 
the orignal gig that comes with the psp doesn't work. You need 2 gig. I guess you can order it online or something. If anyone found the website can you send me the link. Thanks.

what do you mean original gig what is it?
 
an easier way is to go to my computer and open the psp file/drive. it will see it as a drive. then just make a music forlder and drag and drop. same goes for videos but i think they have to be a certain type i just forgot what kind.

what are you taking about? the memory? the psp comes with a 32mb memory pro duo stick.
@geek: i recomend you get a larger mem stick b/c the 32mb isnt really big.(32mb is enough to hold about 8 songs....)
also the 2gb mem stick doesnt come out untill next week..but their is a 1gb stick. i suggest buying it new egg for about $77 as other places sell it for $100+
