PSP Recognized as an IPOD

Is it possible to have iTunes recognize my PSP as an IPOD and auto-add any new songs? I use my PSP as my primary audio player.
 
I may be wrong, but I believe that iTunes has an option for you to add songs to any device connected to the computer that can play mp3's. Again, I may be wrong, though...
 
I did a check and it has an ipod tab under the preferences menu, but it can't be accessed w/o an ipod. Other then that I couldn't find anything.
 
Unfortunately all iPods have special registration codes which have to be recognized by iTunes for you to be able to sync it. PSPs simply dont have these and so arent recognized at all
 
Yep they do. Its called PSP Media Manager. Definatly not needed since there are many free versions you can alternatly use. And PSP Video 9 has to be the best video converter to mp4 format. I have iTunes and its just as easy to drag and drop my music straight to the music folder on the memory stick.
