PSU Buzzing When PC Turned Off

Hey guys. In my brand new build im using an XClio Greatpower 550W PSU. Since the start, including the first time i turned the system off, the power supply makes a buzzing sound. When power is cutoff via the switch on the PSU, the buzzing stops. The sound doesnt bother me too much, but I'm wondering if theres a bigger problem at hand?
Thanks,
Chris

never heard of the brand. Never bothered to open psu's and fix them. To much trouble for me. I would buy a new one. Or first contact the Xclio and ask if its normal.

No its not suppost to buzz:D . If its new get in contact with where you bought it, if a been a little longer try to get XClio to RMA you one.

It's usually the coil windings causing that. A reasonably common problem amongst all brands, and not one that's likely to develop further.

You should be able to RMA it without difficulties.

Thanks Ceewi and everyone. Ceewi... do you think if it is that that it is only a noise nuisance, and not damaging to the actual PSU? If its just a tiny nuisance, I'll keep it. I'd rather not be without a computer while i wait for RMA.

If that's it, it's harmless. I have no way of guaranteeing that, however, as while it's the most common cause of that sort of buzzing there are plenty of others, some of which indicate the PSU is failing.

I would RMA it to be safe.
