PSU Creaking?

I put together my first build over a month ago and everything has been running smoothly. The only problem is the PSU being a little noisy. I was just wondering if it is normal?

That almost sounds like there's something alive in there

It sounds like an unbalanced fan is hitting against something then going good for a second, and repeat. Try building the system outside the case, but having the PSU at various positions, vertical/horizontal etc and see if the noise stops or changes.

Sorry to bump this crazy old thread, but I am running into the same issue. My last power supply made this exact sound, so I took it back and replaced it with an entirely different one. A week or two after installation, and this one is also making that sound.

Did you ever figure out what it was?
