This morning I was on my pc when suddenly I smelled something burning and my psu was making a loud groaning sound so I immediately shut off my pc.
I am currently looking for a 700-750 watt psu for under 65$ my last model came from good ol China and was an offbrand that sucked and died within a year.

If you can find something decent for me as I have looked everywhere and can only find garbage or psu's that are 100+$ that would be great.

700w is overkill for most people. I'm only running 650w and it's more than enough for my primary system. But regardless, most any of the Corsair PSUs are my top choice. At work we also had very good luck with the higher-end Coolermaster units (the ones with single 12v rails). But if budget allows, Corsair all the way.

The one StrangleHold linked is very good.

As long as you go for Corsair, Seasonic, OCZ, Thermaltake, Rosewill, Then you should be fine (I know I'm missing a couple there).
