this one is sort of what i'm looking for. thanks anyways guys, i might get thsi one

Do not buy that, the company is garbage. Remember the PSU is the most important part of your computer, if something goes wrong with it you might end up damging all your internals. Go with a reputable company, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, higher end Antec, higher end OCZ, make sure your buying quality

True! Do your computer a favor and buy a quality PSU, you may regret it later...
SslagleZ28 said them all!

Yeah there's a reason that PSU has more watts for almost half the price. Putting that in your computer will cost you a lot more than the extra $35 for a quality unit. And by that I mean it could blow up your whole rig. Its really not worth the risk and you'll regret buying it if you do. There isn't a single member on this forum who would recommend a PSU of that quality.

i got my corsair 750watt two days ago for 69.99. retail was 170.

check micro center if you have one near you.
(gx series) something or other

ya, but i'm low on cash... i'm wondering if a 300w can withstand a 4670, and a 95w quad core...

Honestly Id wait a little bit till you have enough to purchase a better one. You figure if you dont have the cash for a better PSU and you go cheaper than you def dont have the cash if something goes wrong to replace the entire computer :(

Easily. Look for Seasonic or Antec, though...they're really the only companies that have good units in that range, or at least the only widely available ones.

Also, look at a 5670 or even a 5570 over a 4670. The price shouldn't be too much different, and in addition to supporting DX11, both are more powerful and more energy efficient.

Are you building? Or is it for a pre-built or something you already have?

building on. getting a new mobo with quad core and i have the 4670, which i should have gone for 5670, but when i ordered the 4670, i noticed the 5670 only took 2 more watts :/ when i first got the computer, it was a factory shipped hp media center m7470n. it had integrated ati radeon xpress 200. piece of crap video card for gaming. then my bro gave me an ati radeon 2400. not that great, but i could actually get 60 fps on lowest settings in mw. then i went and bought the 4670. cheap price, low power consumption, but good enough power for me. before every thing, i believe my computer consumed around 200w...with radeon 2400, around 220w...with radeon 4670, around 250w, then my dual core athlon 64 x2 4200+ at 89w burned out, now running on single core, and soon to get quad core at about 95w... so, just guessing, im consuming about 300w...
